Training Camp for Preparation of Sports Competitions at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University from September 16

Lucknow: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) is organizing a special training camp from September 16, 2026, to prepare students who will represent the University in the North/Central Zone and All India Inter-University competitions during the academic session 2026–27. All registered students of the University’s Main Campus, Lucknow, and Amethi Satellite Centre can participate in the training camp. The programme will be organized under the direction of Prof. K.L. Mahawar, Director, Sports Section, and conducted under the guidance of Dr. Manoj Kumar Dadwal, Assistant Director, Sports Section.

Providing information about the programme, Dr. Manoj Kumar Dadwal, Assistant Director, Sports Section, stated that the training camp for interested male and female students in various team and individual sports will commence from September 16, 2026. Training sessions will be conducted in two shifts from Monday to Saturday every day. The morning session will be held from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM, while the evening session will be conducted from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. The training will be organized at the Parade Ground located behind the SAS Building.
For female students, the University administration will also organize aerobics training sessions at the BMSAC campus. These sessions will be held daily from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM, starting September 16, and all interested female students can participate.

Students of the Amethi Satellite Centre have been exempted from the requirement of attending the training sessions conducted daily at the Main Campus. However, interested students must register their names with the Sports Section through the proper channel by September 16, 2026. Thereafter, they will be informed in advance about the date of the Open Selection Trials.

The University administration has clarified that only those students who maintain a minimum of 90 percent attendance in the training camp will be eligible to participate in the selection trials to be conducted for various sports competitions. The University has appealed to students to participate regularly in the training sessions and make the most of the opportunities provided for preparation for the upcoming sports competitions.
