Poster Related to ‘Rajbhasha Hindi Utsav–2026’ Events Released at BBAU

Lucknow: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, released the poster related to various programmes being organised under ‘Rajbhasha Hindi Utsav–2026’ by the Hindi Cell on September 3. The poster was released by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal. On this occasion, Rashtriya Sangathak of Swadeshi Jagran Manch and renowned social worker Shri Kashmiri Lal ji and Assistant Director, Rajbhasha, Dr. Baljeet Kumar Srivastava were also present.
On the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal said that Hindi is not merely a medium of expression, but also an important foundation of our culture, traditions, social consciousness and national unity. He said that promoting the use of Hindi in educational institutions not only enhances awareness about the Official Language, but also strengthens a sense of pride in one’s language and cultural heritage among students and members of the university community. Prof. Mittal stated that the various programmes being organised under ‘Rajbhasha Hindi Utsav–2026’ are an important initiative towards encouraging the practical, creative and academic use of Hindi. Such programmes inspire people to adopt Hindi more extensively in day-to-day official work, teaching-learning, research and creative activities, rather than limiting its use merely to formal purposes. He called upon all teachers, officers, employees and students of the University to participate enthusiastically in the various programmes and competitions being organised as part of the festival and said that collective efforts can further strengthen and enhance the effective use of Hindi as the Official Language.
Rashtriya Sangathak of Swadeshi Jagran Manch and renowned social worker Shri Kashmiri Lal ji said that indigenous means and products should also be promoted to encourage the use of Hindi. He said that Hindi is not merely a language of communication and expression, but also a language that brings the diversity of the country together. Hindi plays an important role in connecting people from different regions, cultures and communities of the country. He emphasised the need to promote the wider use of Hindi and its propagation through the promotion of Swadeshi.
‘Rajbhasha Hindi Utsav–2026’ is being organised at the University from September 1 to 30, 2026. The objective of the festival is to promote the wider use of Hindi in the University, create awareness about the Official Language, facilitate the promotion and propagation of Hindi, and encourage students, teachers, officers and employees towards the use of Hindi. Under ‘Rajbhasha Hindi Utsav–2026’, the Hindi Cell will organise various academic, creative and competitive programmes throughout the month. These include the inaugural programme of Hindi Month/Hindi Fortnight, Hindi competitions organised by various departments of the University, a Diktation (Sulekh) Competition, Noting and Drafting Competition, Hindi Typing Competition, Rajbhasha General Knowledge Competition and Self-Composed Poetry Recitation Competition. In addition, a seven-day Hindi workshop will be organised to make the practical and official use of Hindi more effective. A one-day programme on Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and Anand Math, focusing on themes related to Indian culture, literature and national thought, will also be organised. Furthermore, a two-day national seminar will be conducted to deliberate upon various dimensions of Hindi, literature, the Official Language and contemporary issues. The festival will conclude with the Hindi Fortnight Valedictory and Prize Distribution Ceremony, where participants who excel in various competitions will be felicitated and awarded.
Teachers, officers, employees and students of the University will actively participate in all these programmes. Through ‘Rajbhasha Hindi Utsav–2026’, the University is making efforts to create a positive environment for Hindi on the campus and to make the use of the Official Language more effective in day-to-day official work and academic activities.
