BBAU Conducts Cleanliness Drive in External Areas under ‘Swachhata Hi Seva-2026’

Lucknow: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, conducted a cleanliness drive in the external areas of the university campus on September 22, 2026, under the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva-2026’ programme. The drive witnessed active participation from the University’s Sanitation Officer, teachers, employees, sanitation workers, and students. As part of the campaign, cleanliness activities were carried out in the market, shops, and surrounding areas outside the university campus. During the drive, the participants sensitised local residents and shopkeepers about the importance of maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings and encouraged them to keep their homes, shops, and nearby areas clean.
The campaign aimed to create awareness among people about maintaining cleanliness in public places and avoiding littering. The participants also conveyed the message of maintaining a clean and healthy environment and encouraged everyone to make cleanliness an integral part of their daily lives.
The cleanliness drive was organised under the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva-2026’ programme with the objective of promoting public awareness and encouraging a sense of collective responsibility and active participation towards cleanliness.
