Another Significant Milestone in the Development of BBAU Satellite Centre: Sub Station Established for 24×7 Power Supply
The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal inaugurated the 33/0.4 KVA Sub Station at the Satellite Centre, Amethi on 21st May 2026. This marks another significant milestone in the continuous development of the University. The newly established Sub Station will ensure 24×7 electricity supply at the Satellite Centre and further strengthen the academic and administrative infrastructure of the campus. On this occasion, Prof. Raj Sharan Sahi, OSD and Dr. Sandeep Kumar Nayak, Director were also present. At the outset, Dr. Sandeep Kumar Nayak welcomed all the dignitaries and attendees present during the programme.
Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal has consistently extended his guidance and best wishes towards the overall development of the Satellite Centre. Under his visionary leadership, several developmental initiatives have been undertaken for the welfare of students, faculty members and staff. Continuing these initiatives, several other important developmental projects were also discussed and considered by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, which are proposed to be initiated soon for the overall and vertical development of the Satellite Centre. On this occasion, Prof. Mittal announced that many additional infrastructure-related works would soon be undertaken for the further development of the Satellite Centre.
During the last one year tenure of Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal, several remarkable developmental works have been accomplished at the Satellite Centre, including renovation of more than 20 lecture halls, academic and administrative offices, establishment of a Computer Centre equipped with 60 computer systems, development of a Girls’ Hostel with accommodation capacity of 62 students, establishment of the 33/0.4 KVA Sub Station for uninterrupted power supply, renovation of a 125-seat auditorium, and several other infrastructure-related improvements.
Prof. Raj Sharan Sahi extended his best wishes to the teachers, students and staff members, and motivated the administration towards introducing new academic programmes in the future.
