BBAU Begins Online Registration for Ph.D. Admissions 2026; Applications Open Until 12 August

Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow has commenced the online registration process for admission to various Ph.D. programmes for the academic session 2026. Interested candidates may submit their applications online through the University’s SAMARTH Portal.
The University administration has advised applicants to carefully read the Ph.D. Information Bulletin and the Admission Prospectus 2026, available on the University’s website, before submitting their applications.
The registration fee for UR/OBC/EWS category candidates has been fixed at ₹1,000, while candidates belonging to the SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories are required to pay ₹750. The last date for online registration is 12 August 2026. Thereafter, candidates will be allowed to submit their applications with a late fee of ₹1,500 until 18 August 2026.
The University has clarified that a separate registration fee is applicable for each Ph.D. programme. The application process will be considered complete only after the successful payment of the online registration fee. Once paid, the registration fee shall neither be refunded nor adjusted under any circumstances.
The University has also clarified that candidates who had applied under the Ph.D. Admission Notification 2025 for Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical and Automobile Engineering, Development Studies, Horticulture, and Pharmaceutical Sciences are not required to apply again. Their applications will automatically remain valid for the entrance examination and the subsequent counselling process.
