Today, the city witnessed a completely different way of celebrating Sawan. 

Saavni Saloni – Season 4 came alive at Hotel Taj, where women of all ages participated with tremendous enthusiasm and joy.
Kajris in different dialects filled the air, while the Kajri Dangal brought alive the traditional spirit and fragrance of Sawan. The beautifully presented Shiv-Parvati street play was another highlight and was widely appreciated.
But this year’s Ramp Walk was truly special. Parul Sharma, Founder of Usha Mahesh Foundation, shared that the women here did not walk the ramp as fashion models, but as Culture Models. They carried with them not just their clothes, but the memories, emotions and relationships associated with them.
One participant wore her mother’s 57-year-old saree, another gracefully carried her grandmother’s shawl. Some gave their mother-in-law’s sarees a contemporary twist, while another revived the embroidery from a 40-year-old kurta by having it incorporated into a new outfit.
From a 14-year-old girl to women aged 65 to 79, they all walked the ramp and proved that tradition has no age.
The exhibition stalls were also warmly appreciated, with visitors showing great love for the diverse products on display. The singing and dancing competitions saw enthusiastic participation as well.
And then came the much-awaited moments of the evening — the Lucky Draw and the announcement of the Saavni Saloni titles, which were won by Pallavi Amit, Richa Srivastava and Fahmeena.
The Lucky Draw winners were Lakshmi and Pragati Singh. ✨
Saavni Saloni was not just an event.
It was a celebration of Sawan, culture, music, memories and the incredible spirit of women. 💚
Today, it truly felt like —
Sawan is not just a season; it is an emotion… and there is a beautiful way of living that emotion.
