‘Swachhata Hi Seva-2026’ Campaign Launched at BBAU; Cleanliness Awareness Drive to Continue Till October 17

Lucknow: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) launched the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva-2026’ campaign on September 17, 2026. The programme was presided over by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal. Apart from this, Registrar Dr. Ashwini Kumar Singh, Cleanliness In-charge Dr. Ravi Shankar Verma, Dr. Manoj Kumar Dadwal, along with other faculty members, were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal stated that cleanliness is not the responsibility of any one individual or section of society; rather, it is a collective responsibility of all. A clean and healthy environment not only improves the quality of our lives but also fosters positive thinking and a sense of responsibility in society. He said that if every individual begins by maintaining cleanliness at their workplace and home, it would certainly be an important step towards building a clean and healthy society. He appealed to all members of the University community to actively participate in the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign and to make cleanliness a part of their daily lifestyle rather than limiting it to a campaign.
The ‘Swachhata Hi Seva-2026’ campaign will be conducted at the University from September 17 to October 17, 2026. As part of the campaign, members of the University community and students will be sensitized towards cleanliness and informed about the importance of maintaining a clean campus, clean workplace and clean surroundings. The campaign will also encourage a sense of individual and collective responsibility towards cleanliness.
