SMS Lucknow Celebrates Its 19th Foundation Day with Grandeur and Enthusiasm

Lucknow: The 19th Foundation Day of School of Management Sciences (SMS), Lucknow, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and grandeur at the institute’s Lucknow campus.

The celebrations commenced with traditional worship and prayers, followed by a sacred Sundarkand Path. The religious ceremony was conducted under the leadership of Mr. Sharad Singh, Secretary and Chief Executive Officer, SMS Lucknow, creating a spiritual and auspicious atmosphere for the occasion.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Mrs. Urmila Singh, respected mother of the Secretary and Chief Executive Officer; Mrs. Shweta Singh, Advisor, SMS Lucknow; Mr. Yash Sengar, President, NGO La Fiduccie; and Dr. Chandra Mauli Dwivedi, Hon’ble Member, Governing Council, SMS Group of Institutions.

Following the worship ceremony, a grand felicitation programme was organised in the multipurpose auditorium. The programme began with an emotional remembrance of Late Shri Satish Kumar Singh, Founder of the Group and former Joint Commissioner, Food and Civil Supplies Department. His visionary leadership and determination laid a strong foundation for the institution’s journey towards excellence.

During the ceremony, 17 dedicated employees of SMS Lucknow were honoured for completing more than 10 years of distinguished and continuous service to the institution. The recognition reflected the institution’s gratitude for their loyalty, commitment and invaluable contribution to the growth and development of SMS Lucknow.

*The prestigious “Pride of School of Management Sciences, Lucknow Award”* was conferred upon *Dr. Bharat Raj Singh, Director General (Technical),* and *Dr. Jagdish Singh, Director (Administration & Admissions),* SMS Lucknow, in recognition of their outstanding work, dedication, significant contribution to institution building and notable role in the institution’s continuous progress.

Under the Shri S.K. Singh Memorial SMS Best Graduate and Post Graduate (Management & Engineering) Awards-2026, cash awards were presented to Mr. Saransh Pandey, BBA student, in the undergraduate management category; Ms. Anshika Chaturvedi, B.Tech. CSE student, in the undergraduate engineering category; and Ms. Shreya Sinha, MBA student, in the postgraduate category.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sharad Singh, Secretary and Chief Executive Officer, SMS Lucknow, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the entire SMS team. He appreciated the dedication, commitment and collective efforts of all members in taking the institution to its present level of excellence. He stated that the success and progress of the institution reflect the hard work, perseverance and shared vision of every member of the SMS family.
The occasion was attended by Dr. Ashish Bhatnagar, Director, SMS Lucknow; Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Associate Director; Mr. Surendra Srivastava, Chief General Manager; Mr. Shesh Narayan Shukla, Registrar; Dr. Mohammad Hussain, Dean (Academics); Dr. P.K. The 19th Foundation Day celebration became an inspiring occasion to commemorate the glorious journey and achievements of SMS Lucknow, acknowledge the dedication of its members, and reaffirm the collective commitment towards a brighter and more successful future.
