Health Camp Organized at BBAU under ‘Swachhata Hi Seva-2026’

Lucknow: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, organized a health camp on September 30 under the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva-2026’ campaign. Dr. Ravi Shankar Verma and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Vikas Srivastava were prominently present during the camp. The objective of the camp was to create awareness among members of the university community about health and the importance of regular health check-ups. During the camp, health check-ups were conducted for university teachers, employees, sanitation workers, and students. They were also sensitized towards adopting a healthy and hygienic lifestyle. In addition, everyone was advised to undergo health check-ups at regular intervals and remain attentive to their well-being.
Programme Coordinator Dr. Ravi Shankar Verma said that cleanliness is not limited to keeping our surroundings clean; a healthy lifestyle and good health are also integral components of cleanliness. He emphasized that the participation of every member of the university community is essential for maintaining a clean and healthy campus. He further stated that regular health check-ups can help in the timely identification of health-related issues, enabling appropriate precautions and treatment.
Dr. Vikas Srivastava, while sharing his views, said that a healthy body and a healthy mind play an important role in enhancing an individual’s efficiency and productivity. He stated that despite a busy routine, everyone should make time for their health and incorporate regular health check-ups into their daily lives. He appealed to those present to maintain personal hygiene and adopt a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
The health camp served as an initiative to encourage members of the university community to remain conscious of their health and actively contribute towards creating a healthy and clean university campus.
