Cleanliness Drive Conducted at Health Centre under ‘Swachhata Hi Seva-2026’ at BBAU

Lucknow: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, organised a special cleanliness drive at the University Health Centre on Monday, 21 September 2026, under the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva-2026’ campaign. The drive witnessed active participation from the University’s Cleanliness In-charge, Dr. Ravi Shankar Verma, along with teachers, employees, sanitation workers, and students.
During the drive, the Health Centre premises were cleaned, and a message of maintaining a clean and healthy environment was conveyed. The participants also sensitised people about the importance of cleanliness and environmental protection. Through the campaign, students and members of the University community were encouraged to keep their surroundings clean and make cleanliness an integral part of their daily lives.
On the occasion, Dr. Ravi Shankar Verma, Cleanliness In-charge of the University, said that Cleanliness is not the responsibility of any particular individual or group; rather, it is a collective responsibility of all of us. A clean campus is the foundation of a healthy life and a better environment. Through the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign, our objective is not only to enhance awareness about cleanliness but also to develop a sense of responsibility and participation towards cleanliness among every individual.
During the campaign, the teachers, employees, sanitation workers, and students present expressed their commitment towards cleanliness and environmental protection and pledged to continue contributing towards building a clean campus.
