BBAU’s Research Excellence Receives National Recognition: Prof. Narendra Kumar Reappointed as Member of ANRF’s Technical Program Committee on Earth & Atmospheric Sciences

Prof. Narendra Kumar of the Department of Environmental Science, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow, has once again been nominated as a member of the Technical Program Committee (TPC) for Earth & Atmospheric Sciences under the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF). This prestigious nomination is a matter of immense pride and honour for the University and serves as a significant national recognition of Prof. Kumar’s scientific expertise and research excellence. On this occasion, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal, congratulated Prof. Kumar and described the achievement as a matter of great pride for the University.
ANRF is India’s apex organization dedicated to promoting research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Its objective is to encourage high-quality scientific research and strengthen India’s research capabilities at the global level. Recently, ANRF launched the Advanced Research Grant (ARG) programme, a highly competitive funding initiative aimed at supporting high-impact basic and applied research in frontier areas of science and technology. Under this scheme, researchers and scientists are provided with substantial financial support to undertake cutting-edge and innovative research.
To ensure a fair, transparent, and scientifically rigorous evaluation of research proposals submitted under the ARG programme, ANRF has constituted Technical Program Committees (TPCs) comprising eminent experts from across the country in various disciplines. As a member of the Technical Program Committee for Earth & Atmospheric Sciences, Prof. Narendra Kumar will evaluate research proposals and submit his technical recommendations to ANRF. The committee is authorized to assess research proposals seeking financial support of up to ₹5 crore with a project duration of up to five years.
Prof. Narendra Kumar’s selection is a national recognition of his outstanding research, expertise, and significant contributions in the field of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences. It also reflects the growing national recognition of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, for its commitment to research excellence.
