BBAU to Begin Undergraduate Admission Process from July 14, Online Registration through Samarth Portal for 1,528 Seats Across 27 UG Programmes

Lucknow: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow has released the Undergraduate (UG) Prospectus for admissions to various UG programmes for the academic session 2026–27. As approved by the University Admission Committee, online registration through the Samarth Portal will commence from 14 July 2026. Admissions will be conducted on the basis of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) merit.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal, while highlighting the University’s achievements, said that Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University has established itself as one of the country’s leading Central Universities owing to its excellence in academics, research, innovation, and student-centric learning environment. He stated that the University’s NAAC A++ accreditation, 37th rank in the NIRF University category, modern infrastructure, green and inclusive campus, and career-oriented academic programmes are among its major strengths. He further said that the University’s objective is not only to provide quality education but also to prepare students for innovation, leadership, and social responsibility. He expressed confidence that students joining BBAU will benefit from an excellent academic environment along with ample opportunities for personality development, research, innovation, and a bright future. He also urged all aspiring candidates to carefully read the UG Prospectus and complete their registration on the Samarth Portal within the stipulated time to become a part of this prestigious Central University.
Prof. Amit Kumar Singh, Chairperson of the Admission Cell Committee, informed that admissions will be offered to 1,528 seats across 27 undergraduate programmes this year. Of these, 958 seats are available in 20 programmes at the Lucknow Campus, while 570 seats are available in 7 programmes at the Amethi Satellite Campus. The UG Prospectus provides comprehensive information regarding eligibility criteria, seat matrix, fee structure, reservation policy, required documents, and the admission procedure. Students will have the opportunity to pursue several career-oriented and professional programmes, including B.A. (Hons.) in Public Administration, B.Com. (Hons.), BBA (Hons.), BBA LL.B. (Hons.), B.Sc., B.Tech., and various other undergraduate programmes. A detailed notification regarding the registration and application fee will be issued by the University shortly.
