BBAU Organises Lecture on ‘Practical Aspects of Rajbhasha Implementation’ under Rajbhasha Hindi Utsav-2026

Lucknow: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University organised a special lecture on the topic ‘Practical Aspects of Rajbhasha Implementation’ on September 21, 2026, as part of the ‘Seven-Day Hindi Workshop’ being organised by the Hindi Cell under ‘Rajbhasha Hindi Utsav-2026’. Shri Abhishek Prakash, Assistant Director (Official Language), Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research, Lucknow, was the keynote speaker. Dr. Baljeet Kumar Srivastava, Dr. Preeti Rai and Dr. Sandhya Dixit were also prominently present on the occasion. The programme commenced with the organising committee expressing its gratitude to the keynote speaker by presenting him with an angavastram and a memento.
The keynote speaker, Shri Abhishek Prakash, Assistant Director (Official Language), Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research, Lucknow, while expressing his views on ‘Practical Aspects of Rajbhasha Implementation’, stated that the true objective of Rajbhasha Hindi can be achieved only when its use becomes a natural part of both official work and daily communication. He emphasised that the use of Hindi should not remain confined to Rajbhasha-related events but should become an integral part of regular work practices. He stressed the need for greater use of simple, accessible, and effective Hindi in official correspondence, noting and drafting, as well as various administrative activities. Shri Prakash further stated that strengthening Rajbhasha Hindi is not the responsibility of any one individual or department but a collective responsibility. He called upon officers, teachers, employees, research scholars, and students to give priority to the use of Hindi in their day-to-day work and communication and to encourage others to do the same. He stated that the consistent and practical use of Hindi is the foundation for its wider promotion and effective implementation as the official language. He also highlighted that initiatives such as ‘Rajbhasha Hindi Utsav-2026’ play an important role in strengthening awareness, affinity, and the spirit of using Hindi.
Various teachers, non-teaching officers and employees, research scholars, and students were present during the programme.
