Threads of Love and Unity: Seth M.R. Jaipuria, Goel Campus Celebrates Raksha Bandhan with Joy and Compassion
Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Goel Campus, celebrated Raksha Bandhan with great zeal and enthusiasm on the school premises, bringing together tradition, creativity, compassion and social responsibility through a vibrant array of activities.
The celebration began with the enthusiastic participation of the Pre-Primary Wing and Classes I–II, where young learners designed colourful Raksha Bandhan greeting cards. Through their creative expressions, the little ones beautifully conveyed messages of love, affection and togetherness.

Adding cultural richness to the festivities, students of Classes III–V presented engaging role plays and skits depicting historical and mythological stories associated with Raksha Bandhan, including Rani Karnavati and Emperor Humayun and Krishna and Draupadi. Their confident performances brought alive the values of love, loyalty and protection.
Students of Classes VI–VIII showcased their creativity and environmental consciousness through a Handmade Eco-Friendly Rakhi-Making Activity. Using sustainable materials, they crafted colourful Rakhis while learning the importance of celebrating festivals responsibly.
The senior students of Classes IX–XII participated in a range of meaningful activities, including Thali Decoration, Greeting Card Designing, Poetry Recitation and Storytelling. They also prepared handmade Rakhis and gratitude notes for soldiers and community heroes, expressing heartfelt appreciation for their service and sacrifice.
Adding a deeply emotional dimension to the celebration, a few students were privileged to tie their handmade Rakhis on the wrists of soldiers of the Indian Army. With innocent prayers for the long life, happiness and prosperity of the brave soldiers, the students expressed their love and gratitude for those who safeguard the nation. Major Nagi, Subedar Santosh and other soldiers warmly welcomed and greeted the students with affection. They also treated the young visitors to their favourite snacks, making the interaction a memorable and cherished experience for all.

Through the Gift of Kindness Drive, students shared books, stationery and toys, spreading happiness and reinforcing the values of empathy and generosity.
The celebration culminated in “Tying the Thread of Unity,” where students tied threads to classmates, teachers and school staff, symbolising mutual respect, friendship and togetherness.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Mahesh Agarwal, Chairman, Goel Group of Institutions, and Dr. Rina Pathak, Principal, emphasised that Raksha Bandhan extends beyond familial bonds, celebrating love, gratitude, compassion and unity.
The celebration beautifully reminded everyone that every thread of love can become a bond of kindness, respect, gratitude and harmony, while the heartfelt gesture of tying Rakhis to the soldiers made the festival even more meaningful and patriotic.
