BBAU Begins B.Tech Admission Process; Admissions to be Based on JEE Main Scores

Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow, has issued a notification for admission to its B.Tech programmes for the academic session 2026–27. The admission process will commence on 17 June 2026, and admissions will be granted solely on the basis of JEE Main scores, subject to the fulfillment of the prescribed eligibility criteria.
According to the notification issued by the University administration, candidates are required to complete online registration and lock their course preferences through the University admission portal between 17 June 2026 and 8 July 2026. The registration fee has been fixed at Rs. 1,000 for candidates belonging to the General, Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) categories, while candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories will be required to pay Rs. 500.
Admissions through JEE Main will be offered to a total of 150 seats across the University’s departments of Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Mechanical & Automobile Engineering. Each department has been allotted 30 seats.
The University has further clarified that if any seats remain vacant after the completion of the admission process through JEE Main, such seats will be filled on the basis of CUET scores in accordance with the University’s reservation policy. The remaining 50 percent seats will also be filled through CUET merit, and a separate notification regarding the same will be issued in due course.
